On offer is this exceptionally rare opalescent milk glass basket weave or ribbon plate with gilt posies plate showing the R. Known for cruising all the celebrities of the time period either on holiday or from Southampton to New York. Unlike the other two of the big three, the R. Olympic sailed the seas for over two decades.
A hand colored paper decal depicts the R. Olympic at full speed at sea. (PLEASE STUDY THE CLOSE UP PHOTOS). There is however NO damage to the plate itself, just normal age related gilding wear to the flowers but NO chips or cracks. The plate measures 7.5 inches in diameter. These are so very rare that to find in any condition and this would be a great addition to anyone's White Star Line collection. Please ask questions if you require any more information.
