A section of carved moulding from the first-class Smoking Room of HMHS Britannic. This piece (and much of the Smoking Room woodwork) wound up in a hotel in England called the Billingham Arms. When the hotel was torn down in 2015, I was able to acquire all the Britannic wood that could be saved, and this is the last piece I have of this pattern. This beautifully carved oak was part of the door surround that led to the Smoking Room from the first-class staircase. It is in excellent condition and measures about 28" x 5".
Unlike a lot of fittings from Olympic, this hasn't been over painted by someone in the past. One thing that acquiring this and the other carvings from the room proved was that the rendering showing this room to be of a different design to the ones on Olympic and Titanic was accurate, right down to the details of the eagle over the fireplace. This is the last piece of this pattern I have; so get it while you can! This item is in the category "Collectibles\Transportation\Boats & Ships\Cruise Ships & Ocean Liners\White Star & Titanic".
