This life belt represents the ones donned by passengers of the Titanic 110 years ago. While not all of the recovered life belts had ink markings. Ink markings can be seen on a life belt worn by Titanic survivor Mabel Francatelli. These life belts are marked with the same markings. The specifications used come from one of the recovered Titanic life belts.The life belt used is on display at the Merseyside Maritime Museum Liverpool, UK. Each are made to order, and produced in limited quantities. Made from two single pieces of natural colored cotton canvas with cork sewn between them. Overall Dimensions: 46" x 12" x 2.25. Materials: Natural colored cotton canvas Internal blocks: 2.25 thick cork cells (Twelve on each side cut down the center). Straps: Four 36 long on each side. The straps are made from natural color cotton twill.
Each of the two straps come from a single 58 piece. Sewn in the middle and on the sides.
