White Star Line, RMS "Olympic" 15 chamfered and shaped teak window upright trim recovered from one of the 1st class Grand Staircase windows, later re installed within the paint factory at Haltwhistle, with full provenance, c-1911. My restorer stripped the paint from this section, but it was found to be cracked and quite weak, so was replaced with a stronger piece of Olympic wood to maintain the strength and integrity of the windows original glazing.
It clearly shows traces of the'Adam' green paint, as well as the darker green paint used whilst the windows had been installed at Haltwhistle. In condition as shown, but it's still a piece of the Olympic herself.
